Our integrated control system covers brake controls, drives, safety system, drivers’ interface and manager on SIL3 PLC platforms. The solution is designed to meet up to SIL3 and can accommodate existing winder systems. It is therefore as suited to partial upgrades as to complete replacement or new installations.

Emergency DC drive replacement in 4 days

HNB Drive Systems were able to replace complete DC drive controllers on a 24 pulse system with GEFRAN controllers and handed the machine back after four days on site. A failure on the winder left four controllers inoperative. HNB were able to source controllers, pulse transformers, CTs and replaced the controllers on site. Only the thyristor modules were retained, and the GEFRAN drive was successfully integrated into the existing winder system. HNB Drive Systems are able to do this for all major brands of drives.
